Adding a New Dimension to Works on Exhibit at King Street Art Works

Beneath the spring blossoms that grace the historic Main Street of Strasburg, VA., a new gallery, King Street Art Works, had its ribbon cutting ceremony on the morning of April 1, 2010.

This week, preparatory to King Street Art Works' first "3rd Friday Art Happening", several of the gallery's members have been working together to make this an artful evening to remember for the community of Strasburg, VA. KSAW's premier "3rd Friday" is on Friday, April 16 from 7 to 10 pm.

In addition to the visual works of art on exhibit in the gallery, there will be live music played throughout the event, and additional works of art will be on display throughout other areas of the historic building that houses the gallery.

This evening, I delivered an additional piece to the gallery from my art studio. This large, hand-built ceramic sculpture adds a new dimension to my works on canvas that are on exhibit at King Street Art Works. I installed my sculpture, "Waterborn" on a carefully selected natural pedestal of stone that I feel is in perfect harmony with my works. I also brought in two additional works on canvas to display in the second story of the building for this event.
